Seattle Face Lift

More and more often these days, residents of Seattle choose face lift surgery. As they pursue successful careers and active personal lives, women and men in the Pacific Northwest want their appearance to match their lifestyle. A face lift in Seattle with Dr. Wandra Miles can give you the renewed vibrant look you may be seeking.

To reset the clock and help you preserve a youthful look longer, Dr. Miles may recommend surgery and a prescription-strength skin care program or another popular treatment like BOTOX® Cosmetic. Request a consultation and see what she suggests for you. You can meet with her in her Seattle office downtown on Madison Avenue, or in southern Alaska.

The traditional face lift is best for Seattle residents seeking a rejuvenated appearance, according to Dr. Miles. She keeps up to date on all the latest trendy face lifts with catchy names, but she notes that none has yet produced results comparable to the tried and true procedure surgeons have relied on and fine tuned for decades. "The way to get a long-lasting lift is to elevate both muscles and skin," she believes, "and the results are well worth a bit of recovery time."

To deliver lasting results, Dr. Miles makes small incisions hidden within the hairline, lifts several layers of tissue and secures them in place. Her patients enjoy youthful, natural looks that can make a difference in their self-image for many years.

Seattle Face Lift Surgery

An Option for Those in their 40s, 50s, 60s and Beyond

Whether you're in early middle age or you've achieved senior citizen status, if you're dissatisfied with the appearance of your mid-face you can most likely benefit from a face lift. Women and men choose the procedure to lift sunken cheeks, erase a jowly look and smooth wrinkles around the nose and mouth.

For many Seattle patients, face lift and eyelid lift surgery go hand-in-hand. An eyelid lift opens up the eye, erasing a tired, aged look and enhancing the results of a face lift. Others choose one or more of today's effective non-invasive treatments like BOTOX® Cosmetic and injectable fillers to complete their new look.

Fortunately, you don't need to decide what's right for you on your own. As a female Seattle face lift surgeon, Dr. Miles has a deep appreciation for the way your appearance affects your outlook on life. She can help you plan your strategy.

After Your Face Lift

Recovery and the New You

You'll go home to rest after your face lift. Though facial plastic surgery generally causes just minimal to moderate discomfort, you can expect to need at least over-the-counter medication for a few days. You will experience some swelling and bruising which will be at their peak around day three and will dissipate over the next several days. Most people plan about two weeks away from their normal activities.

To assist you in recovering as quickly as possible, Dr. Miles will offer a treatment called Endermologie. Dr. Miles has discovered that the lymph drainage technique reduces swelling and enhances post-operative circulation, thereby speeding the healing process.

A few days after your surgery you'll start to notice smoother skin and a sharper jaw line emerging. You'll look youthful and natural, without a pulled or surprised effect. Most patients are very satisfied with their results.

Dr. Miles works with face lift patients in Bellevue, Olympia, Tacoma and Alaska. Find out what the procedure can do for you when you request a consultation online. If you have questions or want to discuss your options, give us a call at 206-292-6226.

Dr. Miles Answers Your Questions

How long will my face lift last?
Think of facial plastic surgery as turning back the clock several years and resetting it. After your procedure your face will keep aging, but you'll continue to look years younger than if you had not had surgery.

Will all my wrinkles look better?
A face lift will not have much effect on wrinkles around your eyes. Those are best addressed with an injectable like BOTOX® Cosmetic or an eyelid lift. Those two treatments are often combined with face lifts for maximum rejuvenation.

Fine lines resulting from dry, lifeless surface skin will also see minimal change. The best way to improve skin quality is with a chemical peel and/or an aggressive skin care regimen to address your skin's needs at the cellular level.

Will I have to wear my hair a certain way to hide scars?
Incisions will be hidden in your hairline and at the junction of your ear and face. After you've healed, your scars should be not be evident to others no matter how you wear your hair.
